Say What?!: Florida Angler’s 69.9-Pound Catfish Breaks State Record

SANTA ROSA CO., Fl. – A Florida angler broke a state record when he reeled in a flathead catfish that tipped the scales at 69.9 pounds.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said Lavon Nowling of Santa Rosa County became a new state record holder during a recent fishing outing on the Yellow River.
