Say What?!: Squirrel Caused Outage That Left 45,000 Without Power in California

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – A power company in California reported a squirrel was responsible for an outage that left thousands of customers in the dark.

San Diego Gas and Electric reported a substation was down on Tuesday afternoon after the squirrel came in contact with a high voltage transmission line.
