CHICAGO, Illinois – Job-seeking website CareerBuilder’s annual survey found workers called in sick this year for getting stuck under a bed and having a cat trapped in a dashboard.
The website said its annual Harris Poll survey of 3,321 adult employees and 2,326 hiring and human resource managers, conducted online Aug. 12-Sept. 2, suggested 38 percent of workers called in sick during the past year when they actually felt fine, up from 28 percent in last year’s survey.
