KALMAR, Sweden – Those large, bright blue Ikea bags are great for storing miscellaneous items, but human bones might be the last thing you would expect to find inside them.
While on a visit at the Kläckeberga church in southern Sweden in late July, Kicki Karlén, an erotic author, said she was shocked to find Ikea bags overflowing with human bones.
Karlén told The Local she was researching the ruins inside the church for an upcoming book when she found the bags containing about 80 skeletons, a sight she found deeply unsettling.
