Sherri Lynn Bowser

Sherri Lynn Bowser, 61, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Passavant Home for handicap in Shippenville.

She was born on April 23, 1962 in Frankfurt, Germany; daughter of James T. Bowser, Sr. and Rebecca E. Callis Bowser, who reside in East Brady.

Sherri was a member of the Church of God in Karns City where she loved to go and sing.

She also loved to color and work on crafts.

In addition to her parents, Sherri is survived by her sisters, Kimberly K. Burkett and her husband, Jeff, of Punxsutawney and Rhonda R. Salizzoni and her husband, Jesse, of Huey and her brother, James T. Bowser, Jr. of New Bethlehem; along with numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and 2 great-great nephews.

She is also survived by her close friends, Sylvia Cherico and Debbie Salizzoni.

Family and friends will be received from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at the Burns Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. in Rimersburg where funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. with Rev. Tom Kelley, pastor of the Church of God in Karns City, presiding.

Interment will take place in the Sligo Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of Sherri’s caregivers for their excellent care and compassion they gave Sherri for many years.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Sherri’s honor to the Church of God, 105 Jay Lane, Karns City, PA 16041.
