The call came in around 11:00 a.m. for a report of smoke on the ground floor of the courthouse.

Crews found smoke in a holding cell near the old jail and were able to trace it an electrical box fire.

Officials are still assessing the damage, most of which appears to be smoke-related.

It was the second fire of the day for Brookville Fire Company.

Around 1:30 a.m., a fire was reported at a substation on Madison Avenue.

About 1300 Penelec customers were affected by the fire. Penelec says power was restored to most customers around 11 a.m.

No injuries were reported at either fire.
