Some Roadways in Jefferson County Remain Closed Due to Flooding

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – Some roadways in Jefferson County remain closed due to flooding, PennDOT says.

Route 949 is closed in Heath Township at the intersection of Clear Creek State Park Road. The S.R. 949 detour will be S.R. 949 (Sigel) to S.R. 36 North (Clarington) to S.R. 899 North to Marienville, S.R. 66 North to S.R. 948 East (Chaffet) to S.R. 949 (Ridgeway).

A lane restriction is in place on Route 36 between Harriger Enterprise Road and River Road in Oliver Township. Two lanes are open.

Route 3003 (Mt. Pleasant Road) is closed between Route 28 and Sheep Farm Road in Clover Township.

Also in Jefferson County, Route 119 is closed in Young Township between Alliance Drive/Snyder Hill and Route 436 due to a downed high-tension utility line.

The road will be opened once the utility company has moved the line.

Traffic is being detoured off Route 119 at Alliance Drive to Route 436.
