AICDAC Provides Harm Reduction Training to Staff at Clarion Psychiatric Center

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – Kathy, a Certified Recovery Specialist from the Armstrong Indiana Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission (AICDAC), provided Harm Reduction training to the staff at the Clarion Psychiatric Center.

Harm reduction is effective in addressing the public health epidemic involving substance use disorders, as well as infectious diseases and other harms associated with drug use.

She provided information on Narcan (Naloxone), including when and how to use it, and on Drug Testing Strips, including Fentanyl and Xylazine testing strips. AICDAC also provides Narcan vending machines, indoor dispensing units, and overdose emergency boxes.
