State Police Calls: Police Investigating Two Harassment Incidents

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Harassment by Prisoner in Pine Creek Township

Around 6:50 p.m. on February 17, Punxsutawney-based State Police investigated an incident that took place at the Jefferson County Jail in Pine Creek Township.

Police say a known prisoner, identified as a 38-year-old Sykesville woman, spit on a staff member, identified as a 56-year-old Brookville woman.

According to police, charges of aggravated harassment by a prisoner are pending.

The name of the prisoner was not released.

Harassment in Union Township

Around 6:30 p.m. on February 17, Punxsutawney-based State Police initiated an investigation into a domestic incident at a residence in Union Township.

Police say the two involved individuals, identified as a 25-year-old Corsica woman and a 33-year-old Corsica man, were involved in a verbal and physical altercation.

According to police, both parties will be cited with harassment.

The names of the involved individuals were not released.
