State Police Calls: Meth Found at Family Dollar; Woman Facing Drug Possession Charges

Area State Police responded to the following incidents:

Suspected Methamphetamine Found at Family Dollar

DECATUR TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A bag of suspected methamphetamine was discovered in a Family Dollar store in Decatur Township, Clearfield County, according to a public information release report from the Pennsylvania State Police.

The report, dated December 19, 2023, and filed by Trooper Fulmer, indicates that the illicit substance was found at around 3:41 p.m. at the Family Dollar located at 16 Ames Plaza.

Authorities did not disclose the quantity of the suspected drug or whether they have any leads on who might have left the bag in the store. The incident is currently under investigation.

The found property has been classified as suspected methamphetamine.

Area Woman Arrested on Drug Possession Charges

A 20-year-old Clearfield woman was arrested on drug possession charges on New Year’s Eve, according to a public information release report from the Pennsylvania State Police.

Trooper Verne, the investigating officer, reported that the arrest occurred around 9:25 p.m. on the 31st of December, 2023, at Allport Cutoff in Morris Township, Clearfield County.

The woman, whose identity has not been released, was detained and taken into police custody. The report did not disclose the type of drugs in her possession or the quantity.

The investigation is ongoing.
