State Police Calls: DUIs

CLEARFIELD/Jefferson CO., Pa. (EYT) – Area State Police responded to the following calls:

DUI in Sandy Township

Around 7:26 p.m. on February 8, DuBois-based State Police troopers observed a suspended driver operating a 2017 Hyundai Sonata on Slab Run Road and Tannary Road in Sandy Township, Clearfield County.

Police say after making contact with the driver, identified as 26-year-old Tyler Knepp, of Frenchville, it was observed he was under the influence. He was subsequently arrested for suspicion of DUI.

Charges are pending through District Court 46-3-01.

DUI in Punxsutawney Borough

Punxsutawney-based State Police say around 6:45 p.m. on March 17, a known 28-year-old Punxsutawney man operating a 1996 Honda Civic was stopped for a summary traffic violation.

According to police, upon further investigation, the man was found to be driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

Charges are pending the results of blood tests.
