State Police Calls: Harassment, DUI

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – Area state police responded to the following calls:

Harassment in Summerville Borough

Around 8:37 p.m. on July 16, Punxsutawney-based State Police responded to a location on Heathville Road in Summerville Borough, Jefferson County, for a report of a disturbance.

Police say during the investigation it was determined a known individual struck a 16-year-old male victim during a dispute. No injuries were reported and the individuals involved were separated for the night.

Charges are pending through District Court 54-3-03.

The name of the accused was not released.

DUI in Young Township

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, around 9:35 p.m. on July 21, a known man was stopped for a summary traffic violation on State Route 119, in Young Township, Jefferson County.

Police say the driver was then found to be driving under the influence of drugs.

Charges are pending.

The name of the driver was not released.
