State Police Calls: Burglary, Counterfeit Bill

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Burglary in Gaskill Township

Punxsutawney-based State Police responded to a report of a burglary on Robertsville Road in Gaskill Township on June 25.

Police say sometime between 10:00 a.m. and 3:44 p.m. on June 25, unknown individual(s) entered the residence of a 28-year-old Punxsutawney man and a 26-year-old Punxsutawney woman through a window, damaging an air conditioner unit.

According to police, nothing in the residence was taken.

The investigation is ongoing.

Forgery in McCalmont Township

Around 7:40 p.m. on June 25, Punxsutawney-based State Police received a report of a counterfeit $10 bill being passed at a location on State Route 310/Buck Run Road in McCalmont Township.

Police say the $10 bill was recovered from a known 71-year-old female victim from Reynoldsville and was confirmed to be counterfeit.

The investigation is ongoing.
