State Police Calls: Child Abuse Investigation, DUI Arrest, Harassment Incident

Child Abuse in Reynoldsville Borough

DuBois-based State Police are investigating an incident of suspected child abuse in Reynoldsville Borough, Jefferson County.

Police say the incident reportedly occurred between August 19 and September 3 at a location on Brown Street and involved a known 4-year-old male victim from Johnsonburg.

The investigation is ongoing.

DUI in Reynoldsville Borough

around 10:24 p.m. on September 13, DuBois-based State Police conducted a traffic stop on a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado on South 4th Street near East Main Street in Reynoldsville Borough, Jefferson County.

Police say the driver, a 71-year-old Reynoldsville man, displayed signs of alcohol impairment and was subsequently placed under arrest for driving under the influence.

Charges are pending.

Harassment in Washington Township

Around 12:30 p.m. on September 13, DuBois-based State Police responded to a location on Stevenson Hill Road, in Washington Township, Jefferson County, for a report of a domestic incident.

Police say upon further investigation, 28-year-old Toby Whaling and 26-year-old Alexandria Shugar, both of Falls Creek, were cited for harassment.
