State Police Calls: Crash in Pine Creek Twp., DUI in Union Twp.

The Pennsylvania State Police responded to the following incidents:

DUI in Union Township

DuBois-based State Police said a 24-year-old Altoona man was stopped after he committed several summary traffic violations while traveling on U.S. Route 322 in Union Township, Clearfield County, on December 1 around 10:40 p.m.

The suspect reportedly showed signs of impairment and a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was evident.

The man, whose name was not released, was subsequently arrested for DUI along with other summary traffic violations.

Charges will be filed pending the return of BAC test results.

One-vehicle Crash on Interstate 80

DuBois-based State Police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Interstate 80 eastbound in Pinecreek Township, Jefferson County, on November 26 around 1:43 a.m.

According to police, Nikita Kuznetsov, 32, of Lords Valley, PA, struck a deer with the front of her 2016 Nissan Rogue, causing disabling damage to the vehicle.

Kuznetsov and a passenger – Lilia Kuznetsov, 29, of Brooklyn, NY – were both wearing safety belts and were not injured.
