State Police Calls: Drug Arrest, Tire Slashing

police-lights-3DuBOIS, Pa. (EYT) — DuBois-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Traffic stop results in drug arrest

A Mercer man has been accused of drug possession after a traffic stop Monday.

Police say a 21-year-old Mercer County man was stopped for a summary traffic violation while driving west on Interstate 80 in Sandy Township, Clearfield Co.

During the stop, Tpr. Monty Mitchell smelled an odor of marijuana in the car.

A search discovered that the man was in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

According to online court records, charges have not been filed as of March 15.

DuBois man accused of slashing tire

According to police, a 32-year-old DuBois man punctured a tire on vehicle of a known, 38-year-old Brookville man at the Sykesville Eagles Club in Winslow Township, Jefferson County, on February 22.

Charges were filed in district court.
