State Police Calls: Forgery, Key Found, Vehicle-Deer Collision

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – Area State Police responded to the following calls:

Forgery in North Mahoning Township

According to police, a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) sticker was stolen from a CARMATE Trailer from a property along State Route 119 in Mahoning Township sometime between Tuesday, May 15, and Thursday, May 17.

Anyone with information related to this theft is asked to contact PSP Punxsutawney.

Key Found on Cloe Lake Road

On Monday, May 21, a key was brought in to PSP Punxsutawney. The key is available for pick-up by the owner at PSP Punxsutawney.

Car Hits Deer in Westover Borough

Police say around 6:03 a.m. on Friday, May 25, a woman was operating a 2017 Kia Forte 5, traveling north on State Route 36 just east of Low Grade Road, when a deer jumped out into the road. The vehicle struck the deer and traveled about a mile before pulling over on the shoulder of State Route 36.

The driver was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Wissinger Towing.
