State Police Calls: Local Man Arrested for Injuring Woman in Domestic Incident in Ringgold Township

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – Area state police responded to the following incidents:

Local Man Arrested for Injuring Woman in Domestic Incident in Ringgold Township

According to a release issued by PSP Punxsutawney on Monday, March 27, troopers responded to a welfare check along Pansy Ringgold Road in Ringgold Township, Jefferson County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21.

Police say a physical domestic incident had occurred, and injuries were observed to the victim—a 38-year-old Mayport woman.

A male subject was arrested and placed in the Jefferson County Jail pending arraignment.

The arrestee is a 38-year-old Mayport man.

The name of the arrestee was not released.

Firearm Returned to Owner

PSP Marienville received a report of a firearm found within a guest suite on March 22, at 10:24 a.m. at a lodge in Barnett Township, Jefferson County.

Police say the owner of the firearm was contacted.

The firearm is a Sig Sauer P938 9mm handgun.
