State Police Calls: Man Nearly Four Times Over Limit Arrest on DUI Charges

JEFFERSON/INDIANA CO., Pa. (EYT) – Area state police responded to the following calls:

DUI in Young Township

Punxsutawney-based State Police conducted a traffic stop for summary violations around 11:10 p.m. on Sunday, August 18.

According to police, the operator of the vehicle, 33-year-old John Raymond Jefferson of Valier was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol. Toxicology reports were later returned, indicating Jefferson was operating his vehicle with a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.317%.

Charges are pending through District Court 54-3-01.

DUI in Canoe Township

Punxsutawney-based State Police were dispatched around 7:18 a.m. on Friday, August 10, to an incident involving a man jumping from a moving 2006 Ford F150.

They responded and subsequently arrested 37-year-old Jesse Scott of Timblin for DUI.

It’s unclear exactly who jumped from the vehicle.

No further details were released.

Theft of Motor Vehicle in Bell Township

According to police, a known victim reported the theft of a 1955 Pontiac Safari from a location along State Route 36 in Bell Township.

The vehicle was stolen sometime between December 1, 2017, and August 8, 2018.

The case remains under investigation.
