State Police Calls: Possible Child Abuse Under Investigation in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – State Police in Punxsutawney responded to the following incidents:

Possible Child Abuse

On September 26, PSP Punxsutawney received a Childline report about the alleged abuse of a child.

It was reported that a known juvenile male was struck by an adult, resulting in visible bruising.

The incident is alleged to have occurred at a known location along Kirkman Road in Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County.

The investigation is ongoing.

Woman Arrested on Drug Possession Charges

On September 27 around 2:00 p.m., a traffic stop was conducted along Jeff Tech Drive on a known vehicle for multiple Title 75 violations.

Through the course of the traffic stop, a 35-year-old Kersey woman was found to be in possession of drugs and related paraphernalia.

Charges will be filed through Magisterial District Judge 54-3-02.
