State Police Calls: Rape Investigation Underway in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Forcible Rape in Young Township

Punxsutawney-based State Police investigated a rape that occurred at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9, at a location in Young Township.

The investigation is ongoing.

No further details are being released at this time.

Theft in Pine Creek Township

Punxsutawney-based State Police investigated a theft which occurred on Thursday, October 4.

Police say a 22-year-old Johnsonburg woman, who was just released from the Jefferson County Jail, took an Apple iPad Mini 16GB tablet, valued at $200, from a known victim.

The incident remains under investigation.
