State Police Calls: Receiving Stolen Property, DUI

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Receiving Stolen Property in Big Run Borough

Around 12:59 p.m. on May 16, Punxsutawney-based State Police received a report of receiving stolen property at a location on Union Street in Big Run Borough.

The investigation is ongoing.

DUI in Brookville Borough

Around 12:20 a.m. on May 16, a trooper from the Punxsutawney-based State Police observed a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 in a parking lot near State Route 28 in Brookville Borough.

Police say the driver of the vehicle, identified as a 48-year-old New Bethlehem man, was contacted and determined to be under the influence of alcohol. The driver was subsequently arrested for DUI.

The investigation is ongoing.

The name of the New Bethlehem man was not released.
