State Police Charge Brookville Sex Offender for Failing to Register

PINE CREEK TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Thursday for a Megan’s Law offender who allegedly failed to register with the state police.

Court documents indicate 51-year-old William Lee North, of Brookville, is scheduled to stand for a preliminary hearing in front of Magisterial District Judge Gregory M Bazylak at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, on the following charges:

– Fail to Register with PSP, Felony 2

The charges stem from an investigation into the registration status of a Megan’s Law offender.

The charges were filed against North through Judge Bazylak’s office on April 23.

According to the Pennsylvania Megan’s Law website, North was convicted of indecent assault and aggravated indecent assault on March 28, 2000.

His registration in Pennsylvania began on October 17, 2003.
