Convicted Sex Offender Facing Felony Charges for Failing to Comply with Megan’s Law Requirements

Screenshot_4BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Dubois-based State Police charged a registered sex offender on January 21 with failure to register a new mailing address as required by state law.

State Police say Eric Scott Hart left “Just for Jesus Ministries” on January 18 but failed to register his new address within three business days as required through Pennsylvania State Megan’s Law.

Hart is facing felony charges of “Transient – Fail to Verify Address or be Photographed.”

He is registered as a Tier 3 sex offender. A Tier III sex offender is the most serious classification and requires lifetime registration.

Hart was convicted of Aggravated Indecent Assault with a person less than 16 years of age in 2009.
