State Police Searching for Driver of Horse and Buggy After Hit-and-Run in Jefferson County

BIG RUN, Pa. (EYT) – State police are investigating a hit and run involving a horse and buggy that occurred late Saturday morning in Big Run.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, around 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, a hit and run crash occurred in the rear parking lot of the Marion Center Bank in Big Run Borough.

Police say a horse and buggy struck a parked 2013 Ford Fusion causing damage to the driver side door and mirror. The operator of the buggy disentangled the buggy seat from the mirror and fled the scene.

The crash was witnessed by a neighbor who reported it to the vehicle owner.
