State Police Seeking Information on Theft of $5K in Copper Cable

ROSE TWP., Pa. (EYT) – State police are asking the public for help with information on a theft of copper cable that occurred last week in Rose Township, Jefferson County.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27, an employee from S&S Communications based out of Acme, Pa., reported that an unknown perpetrator(s) stole approximately $5,000.00 worth of copper telephone cable with black plastic coverings, from reels. The cable was located at their parking lot/storage facility, which is next to Earthworx, near the intersection of State Route 36 and Alaska Road, in Rose Township, Jefferson County.

Police say this theft occurred between 9:00 p.m. on Monday, November 26, and 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27.

This investigation continues.
