Suspect in 814 Pred Hunters Catch Reportedly Attempts to Disarm Brookville Police Officer

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — Authorities say a suspect in a sexual assault case attempted to disarm a police officer in Brookville Borough on Wednesday.

According to a Thursday morning news release, Brookville Police Department and “814 Pred Hunters” received information on Wednesday, April 17, that a male was on his way to Brookville Borough to meet and have sexual relations with a presumed 15-year-old juvenile female.

Brookville Police Department, in conjunction with “814 Pred Hunters,” met with the male suspect and attempted to take him into custody, police said.

Police say the male resisted arrest and attempted to gain control of a Brookville Police Officer’s weapon.

The male suspect was arrested and placed in the Jefferson County Jail.

He was charged with the following:

– Statutory Sexual Assault
– Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse
– Aggravated Indecent Assault
– Corruption of Minors
– Criminal Use of Communications Facility
– Indecent Assault
– Aggravated Assault of a Police Officer
– Disarming a Law Enforcement Officer
– Resisting Arrest

The charges have been filed in District Judge Gregory Bazylak’s office.

The suspect’s name was not released.
