Terry E. Dinger

Terry E. Dinger, 78, of Punxsutawney, died during the evening hours on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

He was born November 30, 1943, in Punxsutawney, a son of Helen M. (Schwab) Dinger, who survives, and the late Elvin M. Dinger.

On August 31, 1963, he married Betty K. (Kennedy) Dinger, who survives.

Terry served in the United States Navy from January 1963 to October 1964 as a Hospital Corpsman.

He was a proud patriot and was a member of the National Rifle Association.

He was a farmer who enjoyed hunting, shooting, hand loading ammunition and watching the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers.

He worked in the Natural Gas Industry as a Pump Station Engineer.

He is happy to be at home with the Lord and will be sadly missed by his family and his cat Midnight.

In addition to his wife and mother, surviving relatives include two children, daughter Lori Fulton and husband David of Marion Center and son Matt Dinger and wife Jodi of Punxsutawney; four grandchildren, Hayden and Sarah Fulton and Bo and Jake Dinger; a brother Vaughn Dinger and wife Kay of Timblin; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 12 to 3 p.m., Saturday, August 20, 2022, at the Deeley Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., immediately following visitation, with Pastor Wayne Taylor and John Milliron officiating.

Interment will be in Zion Cemetery, Porter.

Memorial contributions may be made, in memory of Mr. Dinger, to the Dora Evangelical Church, 2417 Dora Timblin Road, Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
