Three Vehicle Collision on Route 219, Snyder Township

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225SNYDER TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police say a three-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 219, at its intersection with Broad Street (Township 570), in Snyder Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, 19-year-old Kyle M. Titler, of Brockport; 47-year-old Glenn E. Horner, III, of Brockway; and 33-year-old Renee R. Fullerton, of Brockway, were involved in the collision.

Police say this crash occurred as a 2001 Jeep Cherokee, driven by Titler; a 2001 Dodge Caravan, driven by Horner; and a 2008 Kia Sportage, driven by Fullerton, were in the northbound lane of SR 219 near Broad Street.

The Kia came to a full stop and was preparing to turn left (west) onto Broad Street. The Dodge Caravan came to an abrupt stop approximately 10 feet behind the Kia. The Jeep Cherokee struck the rear of the Dodge, which in turn struck the rear of the Kia, according to police.

After the collision, all three vehicles proceeded to the Owens-Illinois parking lot just north of the crash scene.

No injuries were reported.

All drivers were using seat belts.

Titler was determined to be at fault and was cited according with a traffic citation via District Court 54-3-02, police say.
