Two Arrested After Threatening Victim with Baseball Bat

Police car lightsPUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney Borough Police Department say around 5:30 p.m. on September 8, a domestic assault occurred at Point View Terrace.

According to police, upon arrival at the above described location, it was found that the known victim was allegedly threatened by John Ferguson with a baseball bat after the victim was allegedly wrestled to the ground and choked by Ferguson.

Police say upon further investigation, it was discovered that Anna Ruth Sanner also allegedly physically assaulted the victim and threatened him with the same baseball bat, swinging it at him attempting to hit him.

According to police, Ferguson and Sanner were arrested for the following offenses:

– Simple Assault
– Terroristic Threats
– Recklessly Endangering Another Person

Both suspects were taken to the Jefferson County Jail.

Charges have been filed with Judge Chambers.
