Two Local Women Arrested in Brookville Meth Lab Bust

brookville-policeBROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Two people are facing charges following a meth lab bust in Brookville, Jefferson County.

The incident occured when Brookville Police were assisting the Jefferson County Probation Department in locating a probation violator at 40 Richards Street in Brookville Borough.

Once the probation violator was in custody, Brookville officers noticed an overpowering smell coming from the 2nd floor of the residence.

Police attempted to find the origin of the smell and located an active methamphetamine lab.

Officers evacuated the house and then notified the Brookville Volunteer Fire Company and the Pennsylvania State Police Clandestine Lab Team.

Police say a safety perimeter was established, causing the closure of Richards Street and the evacuation of surrounding homes until approximately 11:00 p.m.

A child resided in the house, but was not present during the incident. Responsibility for his well-being was turned over to Jefferson County CYS.

The Pennsylvania State Police Clandestine Lab Team then dismantled the active lab.

Police say the probation violator was arrested by Jefferson County Probation and the remaining two occupants of the house were arrested by the Brookville Police.

Kristen Cook, 36, and Shianne Aaron, 20, have been charged with the following offenses:

  • Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
  • Possesion Red Phosphorus, etc w/ Intent to Manufacture Controlled Substance, Felony
  • Operating a methamphetamine lab, Felony 2
  • Conspiracy – Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Misdemeanor
  • Intentional Possession Controlled Substance By Person Not Registered, Misdemeanor
  • Knowingly possessing ephedrine, Misdemeanor
    • Cook and Aaron were placed in the Jefferson County Jail after failing to post $125,000 cash bail each.

      Brookville Police were assisted by the PSP Vice Unit & Clan Lab Team, Brookville Volunteer Fire Company, PA Attorney General’s Office, Jefferson County Probation, Jefferson County EMS, and Jefferson County CYS.
