Two in Custody After Troopers Seize Meth, Other Drugs During Traffic Stop in Brady Township

BRADY TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Authorities arrested two area women after they found numerous drugs and items of drug paraphernalia in their vehicle in Brady Township early Tuesday morning.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, troopers initiated a traffic stop on a Honda Civic on McGees Mills Road, near Mills Road in Brady Township, Clearfield County, for multiple moving violations around 3:43 a.m. on Tuesday, January 9.

Police say the female operator displayed numerous visual indicators of suspected drug-related impairment.

Troopers also discovered the female operator had a DUI suspended driver’s license and instructed her to exit the vehicle. Troopers proceeded to conduct a battery of field sobriety tests and the female operator was subsequently placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.

Suspected methamphetamine was seized by police, as well as suspected Benzodiazepines, and related drug paraphernalia from the female passenger who was placed under arrest for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

The arrestees are listed as a 36-year-old female from Glen Richey and a 37-year-old DuBois woman.

The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded at the PSP Punxsutawney barracks, pending a search warrant.

This investigation is currently ongoing.
