Two Injured in Union Township Collision

UNION TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Police say two people were injured in a collision that occurred Saturday evening in Union Township.

According to DuBois-based State Police, the accident happened around 8:02 p.m. on Saturday, October 13, west on U.S. 322 at the intersection with Cemetary Road in Union Township, Clearfield County.

Police say 27-year-old Amber L. McMurray, of Sykesville, was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze, and 62-year-old Anthony E. Swisher, of Rockton, was driving a 2008 Volkswagen EOS.

Swisher slowed down to make a right turn onto State Route 4016, and McMurray failed to slow down and struck Swisher’s vehicle from behind, according to police.

Both Swisher and McMurray were wearing seatbelts.

McMurray suffered suspected minor injuries and was transported to Penn Highlands DuBois by DuBois EMS Ambulance Service.

Swisher also suffered suspected minor injuries but refused transport.

Union Township Fire Company and DuSan Ambulance assisted at the scene.

McMurray was charged with a traffic violation.
