Two-Vehicle Crash on Route 36, Eldred Township

ELDRED TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Marienville-based State Police say around 2:48 p.m. on December 11, a two-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 36, at its intersection with State Route 949, in Eldred Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, a 2013 Ford was traveling north on SR 36 and attempted to make a left hand turn onto SR 949. A 2011 Mitsubishi 3000 GT was following behind the Ford and was unable to come to a stop on the snow-covered roads.

The Mitsubishi struck the Ford on the rear bumper with its front end.

Both vehicles suffered minor damage; neither unit required towing.

All operators and passengers were using seat belts, and no injuries were reported.

The names of the individuals involved were not released.
