Boys’ Basketball: Ridgway Tops Brookville; ECC Beats DuBois


RIDGWAY, Pa. (D9Sports) – Twenty-eight points from Zack Zameroski lifted Ridgway over Brookville, 55-45.

Zameroski was also 7-of-10 at the line for the Elkers. Matt Dush added 16 tallies and Dan Park netted 10.

David Cable paced the Raiders with 13 points, including four 3-pointers. Robert Keth netted 10 points with three 3-pointers.

CLARION-LIMESTONE 70, UNION 53

RIMERSBURG, Pa. – Deion Deas and Curvin Goheen each scored 22 points and Hayden Callen had a double-double to lead visiting Clarion-Limestone past Union, 70-53, in KSAC North action.

Goheen just missed a double-double with nine rebounds, while Callen had 13 points, 13 rebounds, four steals and three blocks to complete his double-double. Jordan Hesdon also had a strong all-around game with five points, eight steals and five rebounds.

Truman Vereb had a double-double for Union with 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Isaac Saylor hit three 3-pointers and scored 13 points. Caiden Rainey added two points and seven rebounds.

ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 47, DUBOIS 40

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Elk County Catholic held off visiting DuBois for a 47-40 D9 League victory.

The Crusaders led 28-17 at halftime but watched the Beavers cut the lead to four, 35-31, going to the fourth quarter.

But Regis Wortman scored 10 of his game-high 20 points in the final eight minutes to seal the victory. Wortman was 4-for-4 from the line in the fourth quarter helping ECC go 6-for-6 from the charity stripe in the final stanza.

Carter Lindemuth added 10 points in the win for the Crusaders.

Chase Husted led DuBois with 16 points while Brady Woodward added eight and Nick Felix seven.

BRADFORD 64, DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 37

DUBOIS, Pa. – Behind 20 points from Tyler Gigliotti, Bradford earned a 64-37 road victory over DuBois Central Catholic.

Cam Austin added 14 points, including three 3-pointers for the Owls. Peyton Manion grabbed 10 rebounds and scored eight points with Evan Schmidt netting eight tallies.

Ethan Kness paced the Cardinals with 10 points and Dante Armanini tallied nine.
