CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – The June 16 bath salts sting at the Clarion post office has exposed a regional drug ring, allowed police to seize large quantities of drugs, and led to the arrest of six individuals, including three from the Clarion area – and it was all set in motion following a June 8 car crash in Johnsonburg, Elk Township.

Online court documents indicate those arrested were Abram Michael Crosby, 29, Clarion; Kara Jean Ingram, 23, Strattanville; Donielle Nicole Beichner, 24, Clarion; Ryan Joseph Thomas, 26, Mount Jewett; Richard Allen Servidea, 51, Wilcox; and Kerry Ann Krempel, 40, Johnsonburg.

According to the Bradford Era, a months-long police effort and some luck led to the six arrests and have allowed police to tie the group to a total of nearly 2.6 pounds of seized stimulants in recent weeks.

On June 8 police in Johnsonburg responded to a car crash where 1.5 pounds of suspected “bath salts” were allegedly found. The drugs are said to have been shipped from Chinese producers to a supply chain which included the six individuals who were arrested.

Police on scene at the crash also discovered tracking numbers for alleged future shipments. One package which weighed more than one pound was traced to the Clarion post office and obtained by police, who waited and watched as groups of people came to pick it up.

A group of three individuals were the first to arrive at the Clarion post office June 16. The Bradford Era reports Thomas allegedly obtained the package from the Clarion post office and returned to a waiting vehicle which contained Servidea and Krempel. At this point police surrounded the vehicle and took all three into custody. Additional drugs and cash were allegedly found in the vehicle.

Police then returned the package to the Clarion post office, and Ingram allegedly came to retrieve it. Ingram and Beichner were arrested in a nearby vehicle with the package allegedly in their possession.

The Bradford Era reports Crosby, identified as being Ingram’s fiance, allegedly made three attempts to claim the package after police seized it and was arrested at Ingram’s home, where a police search allegedly found additional bath salts.
