Van Crashes into Tree off Route 36

BARNETT TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – According to Marienville-based State Police, around 10:43 a.m. on November 29, a one-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 36, at its intersection with Wolford Road, in Barnett Township, Jefferson County.

Police say 74-year-old James R. Huber, of Philipsburg, was traveling north on SR 36 and lost control of his 2008 Chrysler Town & Country while negotiating a left curve in the roadway.

The van subsequently struck a tree 60′ east of SR 36, according to police.

James Huber, and a passenger, 66-year-old Janetta J. Huber, also of Philipsburg, were using seat belts and were not injured.

Huber was charged with a traffic violation.
