Vehicle Crashes into Tree Off Route 119, Driver Injured

A moving ambulance on it''s way to a crash site.HENDERSON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say a one-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 119, west of Kramer Road, in Henderson Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, around 6:46 p.m. on September 21, 61-year-old Martha J. Frantz, of Sykesville, was traveling north on SR 119, and her 2001 Dodge Dakota left the right berm.

Frantz steered the vehicle to the left, causing it to travel into the southbound lane. Frantz steered to the right, and the vehicle traveled off the road, spun clockwise, and struck a tree with the driver’s side rear, police say.

The vehicle came to a final rest at the tree, facing southeast, according to police.

Frantz suffered minor injuries.

Sykesville EMS transported her to Penn Highlands DuBois.

She was not using a seat belt, police say.

She was charged with a traffic violation.
