Vehicle Crashes into Utility Pole off Route 219, Driver Injured

A moving ambulance on it''s way to a crash site.BURNSIDE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say a one-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 219 (Main Street), north of Burnside, in Burnside Township, Clearfield County.

According to police, 50-year-old Shawn A. Bingaman, of Westover, failed to negotiate a slight left-hand turn in the roadway.

His 2007 Dodge Caravan left the roadway and struck a utility pole on the eastern shoulder.

The vehicle came to a final rest against the utility pole.

Citizens Ambulance transported Bingaman to Conemaugh Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.

He was charged with a traffic violation.

The vehicle sustained disabling damage.

It was towed by Smitty’s Towing.
