Vehicle Slams into Tree in Perry Township, Driver Injured

A moving ambulance on it''s way to a crash site.PERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say around 12:17 p.m. on June 18, a one-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 536, 640 feet east of Scott Road, in Perry Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, 24-year-old Grant D. Hogg, of Slippery Rock, was traveling eastbound on SR 536, negotiating a left hand curve when the right front tire of his 1997 Mack blew.

The vehicle exited off the south side of the roadway and struck a tree, police say.

The vehicle came to a final rest south of SR 536 facing east, according to police.

Hogg suffered minor injuries; Jefferson County EMS transported him to Punxsutawney Hospital, police say.

He was using a seat belt.

The Mack truck sustained a disabling amount of damage, according to police.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by South Side Towing.
