Vehicle vs Deer Crash in Pine Creek Township

PINE CREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Dubois-based State Police say an accident involving a deer occurred in Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, around 9:42 p.m. on November 4, Roger A. Gates, 57, of DuBois, was traveling east on Interstate 80 in the right lane when a deer ran in front of his 2008 Toyota Tundra at about the 83.5 mile marker.

Gates was unable to avoid the deer and his vehicle was struck on the front driver-side.

He then pulled his vehicle to the south berm of the roadway.

Gates was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.
