Victoria L. “Vicki” Slater, 71, of Punxsutawney, died Thursday, June 30, 2022, at her home.
She was born May 30, 1951, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Agatha C. (Freceone) and Sylvester A. Test.
On June 2, 1984, she married George W. Slater, who survives.
Vicki was a graduate of the Punxsutawney Area High School Class of 1969.
She was a member of Saints Cosmas and Damian Roman Catholic Church of Punxsutawney.
Vicki loved cooking family dinners, going to casinos, playing bingo, reading, Sunday game days with her family and watching her grandson, Colin, play baseball.
She was a former manager at Murphy’s Mart and Ames and retired as a manager from Big Lots.
In addition to her husband, George, Vicki is survived by two sons, Kevin Slater of Punxsutawney and Keith Slater of Punxsutawney; grandson Colin Slater of Punxsutawney; brother Tony Test and wife Betty of Punxsutawney; sister Diane Reddman and husband Scott of Pittsburgh; two sisters-in-law, Donna Test and Marilyn Test; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Alex and James Test.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at SS.C.D. Church with Monsignor Joseph Riccardo officiating.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Punxsutawney.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in memory of Mrs. Slater, to Lisa’s Ladybugs Patient Care Fund, P.O. Box 692, Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
