Vivian J. Martino

Vivian J. Martino, 88, of Main Street, Brockway, PA, died on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at her residence.

Born in New Castle, PA, on August 3, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Edith DelFosse Parolari.

On October 21, 1950 she was married to Donald J. Martino and he preceded her in death on November 10, 2013.

Retired, Vivian started out working in the Payroll Department at Brockway Glass. Later she served as the bookkeeper for the family business Martio’s Bi Lo. Most currently she was a homemaker.

She was a member at St. Tobias Church, and also was a member of the Rosary Society. She enjoyed playing cards with her Card Club friends, a group that started back during World War II. She also enjoyed cooking and baking.

Vivian is survived by a daughter Dawn Marie Martino of Des Moines, Iowa; two sons: John and Jeffrey Martino both of Brockway; a sister Linda (John) Hausermann of Richmond, Virginia; and three great-grandchildren, Olivia Vilmain, Christian Vilmain, and Blake Marie Vilmain.

In addition to her parents and husband she is also preceded in death by a brother Henry Parolari Jr. and a grandson Caleb Vilmain.

Calling hours will be on Monday, April 30, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Tobias Church with Msgr. Charles Kaza presiding. Committal prayers and burial will follow at St. Tobias Cemetery also in Brockway. A Vigil Service will be held at 8:45 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
