Vivian Valjean (Neale) Miller

Vivian Valjean (Neale) Miller, age 84, of Brookville, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Penn Highlands Brookville Hospital in Brookville, PA.

She was born on December 13, 1933 to the late Wilbur D. and Florence (McKinley) Neale in Roseville, PA.

She attended the Clarion Limestone High School.

On July 8, 1950 Vivian married Gale A. Miller at the Limestone Baptist Church, who preceded her in death on May 17, 2009.

She worked at Sylvania in Brookville, PA for about ten years before the plant was closed down. She then began to work at Owens-Illinois for an additional ten years.

Vivian then became one of the first employees to work at the Brookville McDonalds.

She was a member of the Roseville Church of Christ.

She also served on the Clarion Limestone School Board for twelve years.

Vivian loved to read books and once she learned how, she enjoyed spending time on the computer.

She loved her cats and dogs. Vivian enjoyed working on crossword puzzles.

She raised her family as a group of friends sharing her love and laughter throughout the years.

She enjoyed spending time whenever she could with all her family and friends.

Vivian was a very caring person who loved people. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.

One of her favorite pastimes in the winter was snowmobiling as a family.

She enjoyed caring for her flower garden.

Vivian is survived by one son; Thomas G. (Betty L.) Miller of Sigel, PA; two granddaughters; Kathrine “Rose” (Andrew) Quayle of Munhall, PA, and Annette Marie (Chris Colwell) Beers of Knox, PA; one great-grandson; Steven Torres of Phelan, CA; and one sister; Deana Garey of Houston, TX.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 2 – 4pm and 6 – 8pm at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home ltd, 345 Main St, Brookville, PA 15825.

A second visitation will take place on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 10 – 11am at the Roseville Church of Christ, 3359 Route 322, Brookville, PA 15825.

A funeral service will immediately follow the second visitation beginning at 11:00am and officiated by John Kerr.

Interment will take place at the Roseville-Bethel Cemetery, Union Twp., Jefferson Co., PA.

Memorial contributions may be made in Vivian’s name to the Roseville Church of Christ.
