Wanda Barker, 57, of Brookville died Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the Clarion Hospital.
Born September 3, 1958, in Brookville, her parents were the late John and Sally (McMillen) Beatty.
Wanda was a graduate of the Punxsutawney Area High School. She was married to Cecil Barker on March 18, 1994 in Punxsutawney.
Wanda was employed as a home health nurse until her retirement in December of 2010. Her hobbies included knitting, traveling, babysitting her grandkids, racing, and tractor pulls.
She is survived by her husband Cecil Barker of Brookville, a son, Corey Barker of Colorado, three daughters; Amber (Raymond) Greeley of Brookville, Heather Christy of Nebraska, Leanne Barker of Texas, a brother, Terry Beatty of Punxsutawney, and eight grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Wanda is preceded in death by a son Terry Campbell Jr., a daughter Ashley Lingenfelter, three sisters; Mary Ann Fetterman, Janet Tressler, and Judy Humble.
A memorial luncheon will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 11 am – 2 pm at the Summerville Volunteer Firemen’s Hall.
The family was assisted with the arrangements by the Furlong Funeral Home, Gregory K. Furlong FD, 50 Broad Street in Summerville, PA.
Per the family’s request, memorial donations may be made to The Furlong Funeral Home to help defray the funeral expenses.
