JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – Severe thunderstorms and heavy downpours are possible for Jefferson County and surrounding areas.

The National Weather Service of Pittsburgh issued the following Hazardous Weather Outlook at 2:43 p.m. on Monday, July 10, 2017:

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for western Maryland, northwest Pennsylvania, southwest Pennsylvania, west central Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia.

Scattered strong to severe thunderstorms are possible into this evening. The main threat will be damaging wind gusts, although large hail is also a possibility.

Heavy downpours may cause localized water issues as well.
