WEATHER UPDATE: Lake Effect Snow Advisory Continues; 3 to 5 Inches of Snow Anticipated in Jefferson County

* STORM TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS…3 TO 5 INCHES.

* PERIOD OF MOST INTENSE SNOW…THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON.

* SNOW ENDING…SNOW WILL TAPER OFF TO SNOW SHOWERS BY THIS EVENING.

* WINDS…WEST 10 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 MPH.

* IMPACTS…ROADS MAY BECOME SNOW COVERED AND SLIPPERY. IN COMBINATION WITH THE WIND…BLOWING SNOW MAY REDUCE VISIBILITY… MAKING TRAVEL DIFFICULT.

A LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY MEANS LAKE-EFFECT SNOW IS FORECAST THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DIFFICULT IN SOME AREAS. LAKE-EFFECT SNOW
SHOWERS TYPICALLY ALIGN THEMSELVES IN BANDS AND WILL LIKELY BE INTENSE ENOUGH TO DROP SEVERAL INCHES IN LOCALIZED AREAS. USE
