The National Weather Service of Pittsburgh issued the following Urgent Winter Weather Message at 4:03 a.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2017:

…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM EST THIS MORNING…

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS…Additional accumulation up to 1 inch.

* TIMING…the heaviest snow is expected through early this morning.

* IMPACTS…The snowfall will create slippery and snow covered roadways.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that hazardous travel conditions are expected. Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities…and use caution while driving.
