Tuesday’s District 9 basketball schedule was practically wiped out by the winter weather that hit the area.
Only three games across the entire district were played, all up north, with Otto-Eldred and Cameron County boys playing as well as both Sheffield teams – girls at Eisenhower and boys at Tidioute Charter.
In Jefferson County, the Johnsonburg at Brockway girls’ game was moved to Feb. 10 with the Brockway at Johnsonburg boys being moved to Feb. 11. Meanwhile, Punxsutawney girls hosting St. Marys and the Punxsy boys at St. Marys are both waiting makeup dates.
In boys’ action, the DuBois Central Catholic at Ridgway game was moved to Feb. 4
Over in the KSAC, four girls’ games were moved to Wednesday including Cranberry at A-C Valley, Venango Catholic at Union (6 p.m. start with no junior varsity game), Clarion-Limestone at Keystone and North Clarion at Moniteau. The Forest Area at Karns City game was waiting a makeup date as of Tuesday evening. Also waiting a makeup date was the postponed Redbank Valley at Kane girls’ game.
