Woman Accused of Stealing Jefferson County Jail Inmate’s Debit Card

CLARION, Pa. – A local woman is facing charges after she allegedly stole another woman’s debit card and used it to make unauthorized purchases.

According to a release issued on Sunday, Turia Rose Miller, 39, allegedly stole a know woman’s debit card from a residence along 5th Avenue in Clarion on December 10, 2018.

The victim was incarcerated at the Jefferson County Jail at the time of the theft.

Police say Miller then went to Clarion Walmart, Cogos, and Smoke-4-Less and purchased items totaling $24.64. As a result of the purchases, $300.00 in overdraft fees were applied to the victim’s account.

According to police, video surveillance was obtained that showed the suspect at one or more of the locations.

Charges are pending through Magisterial District Court 18-3-02.
